How to incorporate rattan into your home

How to incorporate rattan into your home

No longer resigned to conservatories and summer houses, rattan furniture has had a resurgence in the last two years and the trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

For its durable and versatile qualities, the material has earned its rightful place in our homes providing elegance and sophistication as well as a casual laid-back look that works wonderfully with all interior design themes.

However, if you haven’t yet brought this natural vine-like material – grown sustainably in tropical rainforests into your home, we’ve put together a few ideas to get you started.

Team rattan furniture with modern interiors

Rattan furniture can produce a remarkable focal point without being too intrusive in a modern space. The traditional wicker weave of rattan furniture provides textural contrast in rooms that are dominated by white walls, smooth surfaces and exposed wood or brick. For more of a visual impact look for furniture with shapely silhouettes and curved designs.
