Desser Cane Furniture is Makeover TV Regular

ITV1’s interior design show, 60 Minute Makeover, is again using Desser’s cane and rattan furniture to help the team transform a home in an episode being shown on Thursday (1 October).

In this week’s episode of the cult show, the team has just one hour to improve a home with a design makeover. The show’s designers have chosen Desser’s bestselling Jakarta suite to help achieve this.

Desser’s Jakarta and Newbury suites have featured in previous series of the popular show and are set to appear several times during the new series as the interest in cane and rattan furniture continues to grow.

This family firm, with more than 90 years experience, is no stranger to having their furniture feature in television makeover shows. Desser’s Jakarta suite was also chosen by Channel Four’s Home Show last month.

Company sales director, Mark Stewart said: “As a business we are celebrating our 90th anniversary and it’s great to see that cane and rattan furniture is as popular now as it was when the business first started. Our contemporary rattan sits perfectly with the modern trend for light open-plan living and for making areas bigger by blurring the boundaries between outside and inside.”
